Document Freedom Day 2008

The Open Source Group at JUST celebrated the Document Freedom Day (DFD) on March 26. The DFD is a global day for Document Liberation with grassroots action for promotion of Free Document Formats and Open Standards in general, reported the event's site.

JUST Open Source Group was one of the 200 teams in 60 countries that worked for the event, as stated by the DFD website, and one of the three Jordanian teams.
Activities in the university involved different members of the OSG, who made a good work in advertising and informing students about ODF, the "Open Document Format". The group printed large numbers of brochures and posters which were distributed to students.
